The popular sherry-finished version of Peat's Beast Cask Strength. As before, this batch of cask strength Peat's Beast was finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks for nine months before bottling at a robust 54.1% without colouring or chill filtration.

A nailed-on winner for thrifty phenol fans who like a bit of sherry influence alongside their smoke, Peat's Beast Cask Strength PX Sherry Finish will warm the cockles perfectly after a brisk winter's walk.

The maturation period in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks add intense elements of Spanish sherry to this peaty single-malt. Powerful notes of rum and raisin and dates settle on the nose, while clove and vanilla hints complete this dram.

Nose: Earthy peat smoke alongside dark jammy fruits, with baking spice and oily malt.

Palate: Medicinal, maritime peat, with date and vanilla sweetness, butterscotch and spicy black pepper.

Finish: Cooked plum lingers alongside toasty oak.

Peat's Beast

Peat's Beast has been created with a great deal of investment in it. The famous Richard "The Nose" Paterson has collaborated on the project and the top notes you can find on the tab have been created by him. The label's beast was illustrated by Brazilian Doug Alves (famous for his work for MTV, Honda and UNICEF). Peat's Beast is a blend of strong smoke and peat with some floral smoothness and juicy sweetness. Emphasizing the hard peat side, it's like Beauty and the Beast. The beautiful part of this whisky is imprisoned by the beast.
