The ideal malt is carefully selected by the blender from the rich and colourful stock of Yamazaki Distillery. Containing malt whisky stored in mizunara casks representing Yamazaki - ‘Yamazaki’ is made with Japan's national treasure spring water (the most famous water in Japan, where Chirikyu, the founder of the Japanese tea ceremony, once built a temple and created the tea ceremony), and during the fermentation process, a variety of yeasts are added to the fermentation technique, in order to produce the most rich and subtle flavours; during the distillation process, six different shapes of distillation machines are used (the traditional whisky distillation uses only two distillation machines at most). Unlike traditional Scotch whisky, Yamazaki uses three different types of oak casks; northern oak, Spanish sherry casks and Japanese mizunara casks with an oriental aroma.

Yamazaki 12 years old, from Japan's unique Japanese Oak (Mizunara), elegant, presenting the atmosphere of Japanese shrines, the taste and aroma with a hint of galangal, Japanese threads, the taste of the belly, charming fruit and rich malt aroma, a long aftertaste, in 2002, won the ISC International Wine Competition Gold Medal Award recognition, is a connoisseur of the wine can not miss the good wine.
