The "Single Malt Komagatake 2021 Edition" is a single malt whisky from the Honbo Shuzo Mars Shinshu Distillery.

This distillery is located in Nagano Prefecture (Shinshu), which is almost in the center of the Japanese archipelago Honshu.

It is located at the foot of Kiso-komagatake, the highest peak in the Central Alps of Japan.

The distillery is located at 798m above sea level, surrounded by the beautiful nature of Shinshu.

The "2021 Edition" is vatted mainly from malt aged in bourbon and sherry barrels.

You can enjoy the new "2021 Edition" flavor carefully.

Tasting Note:

Aroma:
Fruity aroma of quince, apricot, banana and rich flavor of vanilla.
Taste:
Honey and hazelnut notes from the sherry barrel, with a gentle sweetness like melon and dried persimmon.

In 1985, Hombo Shuzo opened the Mars Shinshu Distillery at the foot of Mt. Kisokoma in the Central Alps of Nagano Prefecture at an altitude of 798m in order to realize the dream of "one day making genuine whiskey that makes the best use of the Japanese climate ."
