Laphroaig
A single malt to celebrate three decades of our Friends of Laphroaig community. Marking this milestone with a new release of our unmistakable flavour. 
Distilled in 1994 as the first Friends joined us. This 30-Year-Old whisky has been bottled specially in 2024 to mark the occasion.

Matured longer in a refill American Oak ex-Bourbon seasoned hogshead has further shaped its flavour. 
Producing a bolder taste and an intense finish. Only 216 bottles have been made at a cask strength of 45%-46%.

The final result is a single malt for enjoying and savouring with Friends.


Tasting Notes

Pale Straw 

Finish
Sweet, fruity, peaty 

Aroma
Herbal, grassy and lemony. A real intense herbal woodsmoke initially presents itself with lemon sherbet and a touch of nuttiness, like cashew nuts. 
Very zesty and aromatic with a touch of ripe honeydew melon. Water adds more delicate creamy vanilla, lemongrass, and citrus notes. 

Taste
A burst of grassy, herbal smoke leads on to a mentholic freshness. Notes of lemon blossom, vanilla cream and a hint of coconut linger. 
The finish is intense and long lasting with notes of Lapsang Souchong tea leaves and citrussy notes.

Laphroaig 

How does Laphroaig single malt taste? Laphroaig embodies the best characteristics of Islay whisky, heavy oily malts with fierce medical notes, from peat smoke, iodine, algae and seaweed. A whisky with a lot of character that has long been advertised as either love or hate. The peat required for whisky production is sourced on the coast and in conjunction with peat moss and swamp myrtle, the Laphroaig whisky is famous for sweet, citrus-like and maritime flavors.
