With a long history, J&B Rare is a blended Scotch whisky that combines 42 malt and grain whiskies, resulting in a smooth and delicate palate. The core of J&B Rare is made from some of the best Speyside malts, including Knockando, Strathmill, Glen Spey, and Auchroisk. These are blended together and then returned to barrels for further aging for three years. The new grain is lively and light, creating a subtle canvas for the blend.
