The whispers we’ve heard about this Secret Speyside Distillery 30 Years Old Finest Whisky Berlin 1991 is that it comes from an undisclosed Speyside distillery, distilled back in 1991 and aged for 30 years before being bottled up by Sansibar. While we can’t pinpoint exactly which distillery it is from, we can tell you that Speyside is home to the two biggest selling single malts in the world, The Glenlivet and Glenfiddich. Speyside whiskies are typically sweet, fruity and nutty and not usually smoky like their Islay brothers. The nose has aromas of honey, wood, rosemary and licorice. The palate displays fruit, a few herbaceous notes, tree sap and almonds. The finish is oily with a great balance of sweet and sour flavours. With only 313 bottles produced this won’t be a secret for long.
