This 13 Year Old Highland Park was bottled as a Taiwan Duty-Free Exclusive release. It is part of Highland Park's Single Cask Series. Distilled in 2004, the single malt was matured in refill butt #4303 for 14 years and was bottled in 2017 at 63.1% ABV. This a limited release of just 624 bottles.]

About the distillery

Highland Park distillery is a Scotch whisky distillery based in Kirkwall, Orkney. It is the most northerly whisky distillery in Scotland, half a mile farther north than that at Scapa distillery.

Highland Park has performed well at international spirit ratings competitions. Its 25-year single malt scotch, for example, received double gold medals at the 2007 and 2009 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

WHEN YOU MAKE WHISKY, YOUR SENSE OF SCALE AND TIME WARP – IN OUR WORLD, OUR YOUNGEST KILN IS STILL ‘NEW’ AT JUST OVER 100 YEARS OLD, AND WE HAVE NO INTENTION OF REPLACING EITHER OF THEM ANY TIME SOON.
