A harsh 2010 winter followed by a rather timid spring led to a late start to vegetation. The mild, particularly dry summer enabled the grapes to be produced in perfect health and to reach ideal ripeness, while retaining good aromatic freshness.

As a result, Château Olivier was able to make the most of the aromatic potential of each grape variety by harvesting only on a case-by-case basis, plot by plot, row by row...

This year, harvesting only took place in the morning throughout the vineyard. This ensured that each berry retained the freshness needed to preserve the best aromas.

Tasting Note

The colour is a scintillating pale yellow. This is a very rich wine combining liveliness, maturity, complexity and subtlety. On the palate it boasts a powerful structure and a rare freshness. It offers great aromatic length and the finish provides fruity notes of citrus, melon and verbena.

Protected by the surrounding forest of hundred-year-old oaks, deciduous woodland, pine forest, copses and grasslands, Château Olivier is a green lung in an urban setting.

At the heart of this 230-hectare estate, the vineyards – 60 hectares, made up of 52 red and 8 white – cover two glacial terraces that give them their wealth and uniqueness.
