This blend of 60% Cabernet Franc with 30% Syrah and 10% Grenache is saturatedly black-red in colour, surrendering fresh, floral aromas backed by enticing black-raspberry and mulberry fruits. On the palate, the wine is deep yet full of lively charm, perfectly summarising the 'crossover' appeal of this appellation, which lies half-way between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. Fine-grained tannins and lacy, billowing acidity carry that raspberry/mulberry fruit all the way to a fresh, graceful finish.

Hailing from the Languedoc, this Cabernet Franc based wine is something everyone should seek out. Scoring a massive 98 points, this wine has impressed not only the European tasting panel, but also the Asian judges – a delicious wine recognized globally!

Cabardès is a little-known appellation in the Languedoc, found in the hills just north of Carcassonne and borders the western end of Minervois. Cabardès is a small region covering 540 ha of vineyard only, with about 20 producers making wine here.

Château Auzias, however, has been around longer than the appellation itself. A family estate since the 19th century, Château Auzias is among the very best in the appellation. Currently being overseen by Nathalie and Dominique Auzias and their children, they continuously improve the vineyard and winery facilities, and their wines consistently surprise oenophiles the world over.
