ARRAN Barrel Reserve is a bright, refreshing and elegant non-vintage single malt whisky matured in 100% bourbon casks, making it a great choice for everyday drinking.

Aroma

Sweetness of fresh grass, citric acidity, biscuit malt and sour apple peel.

Palate

Malty with the odd hint of cinnamon muesli, vanilla fudge and green apple with a slight sea breeze.

Finish

Vanilla oak and lots of aromatic spice, with salted caramel and a hint of orchard fruit.

The distillery is located on one of Scotland's most beautiful and famous islands, the Isle of Arran.

The distillery is situated in Lochranza on the island, which is home to Scotland's purest water source, Loch na Davie.

With more than 50 whisky distilleries on the Isle of Arran since the early 19th century, the Allen Distillery, which was founded on the island, also has a reputation for excellence in the art of distilling.

Arran has access to the Island's perfect location, pure water for whisky making, granite and peat for purification and filtration,

plus the warm climate brought about by the sea breezes and the warm Gulf Stream, which has contributed to the rapid maturation of single malt whisky.

Arran whisky is characterised by its non-condensate filtration and the use of new equipment and construction, and is brave enough to experiment with new casks for ageing.

uses a small distillation still to create a light, clean, malty body, with hidden fruit flavours that reveal themselves as the whisky ages and takes shape.

The young body of the wine has an original pale golden colour, and the wine has won many international awards year after year, as a result of the insistence on no caramel colouring.
