White Oak Akashi Whisky is meticulously handcrafted by Ei Shuzo, a national treasure-level brewery with over 120 years of Japanese brewing expertise. From 1888, when they began brewing sake and shochu using traditional Japanese methods, to obtaining their whisky license in 1919 and beginning to produce whisky using unique techniques, Ei Shuzo has always been a pioneer in the history of Japanese whisky production. The distillery is located in Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture, overlooking the Seto Inland Sea. The area is renowned for its excellent water quality and has been a preferred location for breweries since ancient times. White Oak Akashi Whisky blends malt, oak, and grain, reducing the traditional smoky flavor compared to traditional single malt and blended whiskies, resulting in a smoother taste; it retains a rich malt aroma, a gentle and slightly spicy kick; and a delicate palate with a long, lingering finish.
