日本威士忌之父的堅持： Nikka 創辦人竹鶴政孝先生是首位赴蘇格蘭學習釀造威士忌的日本人。回國後他將最正統的蒸餾技術帶回日本，先後協助建構山崎蒸餾所，並於1934年在北海道創立了余市蒸餾所。

革新的 Coffey 連續蒸餾技術： 一般麥芽威士忌多採用壺式單式蒸餾器，而 Nikka 則採用由 Aeneas Coffey 於1831年發明的「連續蒸餾器（Coffey Still）」來提煉麥芽原料。這種特殊的工藝賦予了威士忌極其獨特的奶油般質地與豐富層次感。
